Robert Redford and Shia LaBeouf to star in The Company You Keep

*Robert Redford and Shia LaBeouf will star in _The Company You Keep_,
a political action thriller that Redford will also direct.*

Lem Dobbs, screenwriter of _Dark City_, _The Limey_ and Steven
Soderbergh’s upcoming _Haywire_, is adapting the script from
Neil Gordon’s novel, according to a report by Variety.

LaBeouf will play a budding journo who uncovers the identity of a
former militant wanted by the FBI, forcing him to go on the run.

A statement from producer Nicolas Chartier makes _Company_ sound like
it’ll have Redford’s trademark political edge:

“This is an edge-of-your-seat thriller about real Americans who
stood for their beliefs, thinking they were patriots and defending
their country’s ideals against the government.”

Redford's last two directorial efforts, _Lions For Lambs_ and _The
Conspirator_, have failed to whip audiences (or critics) into a
frenzy, so perhaps he’s hoping LaBeouf can bring some of the
_Transformers_ market with him.
