Will there ever be a 3rd edition the the chronicles of riddick saga?

I mean damn at the end of the 2nd film where he killed the lord
marshall he became necromonger ruler. You'd think they would have a
follow up by now but ooooh no. This is just like the movie called the
golden compass. I cant stand not knowing. Lol
